A Night of Frights and Delights at BSG Halloween 2026

Last Friday, more than 500 guests joined us at The British School of Guangzhou for an evening of Halloween fun, transforming our campus into a colourful world of witches, fairies, superheroes, monsters, beasts, and every character imaginable.

From the moment families arrived in their creative costumes, there was a real buzz around campus. Students, parents, staff, and friends from the wider Guangzhou community all came together to celebrate, making it one of our most exciting community events of the year.

The evening began with a classic Halloween movie before guests headed off to explore the many games and activities organised by our Parent Support Group and dedicated volunteers. Children eagerly moved from one challenge to the next, while the bravest visitors tested their nerves in the Horror Maze, where plenty of screams and laughter could be heard throughout the night.

Out on the field, families gathered to enjoy delicious food and drinks from local vendors while our DJ kept the atmosphere lively with music and entertainment. As the sun set, the campus came alive with costumes, conversation, and plenty of photo opportunities.

A highlight of the evening was the much-anticipated Costume Parade. From spooky and hilarious to impressive and imaginative, the creativity on display was incredible. Special prizes were awarded for Best Family Costume, Spookiest Costume, Funniest Costume, and Most Creative Costume, giving everyone even more reason to show off their Halloween spirit.

Of course, no Halloween celebration would be complete without Trick or Treat. Armed with bags and buckets, children made their way around campus collecting sweets and chocolates, ending the evening with big smiles and plenty of treats.

While the costumes, games, and decorations made the night memorable, it was seeing so many families, students, staff, and friends enjoying time together that made the event truly special. The evening was filled with laughter, conversations, and moments that reminded us what a wonderful community we have at BSG.

A huge thank you to our Parent Support Group and all the parent volunteers who worked so hard behind the scenes. From the decorations and games to the countless small details that brought the event to life, your time, creativity, and enthusiasm made the evening possible.

We are already counting down to next year's Halloween celebration!🎃🕷️🍬
