Retirement could wait: Meet Compass International School Doha’s new Executive Head of Secondary

Secondary students at Madinat Khalifa programmed Misty the Robot to help primary learners with dyslexia demonstrate their understanding without relying on written text. This project combined coding, empathy, and teamwork to make learning more inclusive and empowering for all students.

At Nord Anglia, our Compass Approach to early years learning transforms play into a powerful tool for cognitive and emotional development. Research shows that play-based learning builds critical neural pathways, enhances problem-solving, and fosters a lifelong love of learning. Our educators use "invisible teaching" to balance structure with spontaneity, allowing children to explore their interests while developing key skills like emotional intelligence and resilience. By embracing purposeful play both in school and at home, we prepare young learners for academic success and global citizenship.

Compass International School Doha’s Madinat Khalifa campus is excited to welcome Ciara Callaghan as the new Early Years 1 teacher. With nearly a decade of experience and a background in sensory-based learning, Ciara brings a wealth of knowledge and innovative methods to our Early Years programme. Her expertise in sensory education promises to create a dynamic and enriching environment that fosters each child's cognitive, emotional, and social growth.
