A Wonderful Start to Our Mid-Autumn Festival Celebrations

Dear Parents,

Firstly, I would like to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has already donated mooncakes and lanterns. It has been wonderful to see these starting to arrive in school as we prepare for our Mid-Autumn Festival celebrations.

Our festival preparations provide meaningful opportunities for children to learn about local culture, traditions, and community. Next Monday, our Year 1 children will take the donated mooncakes to the Sai Kung Community Centre, where they will be shared with members of the elderly community. This is a wonderful example of our school values in action, demonstrating kindness and community spirit while helping our children understand the importance of giving to others.

We are also looking forward to welcoming families to our first Snowy Mooncake Family Workshop this Friday after school. For those who have signed up, we look forward to making our own mooncakes together and sharing this special experience as a school community.

Extra-Curricular Activities Begin Next Week

Next week marks the start of our Extra-Curricular Activities (ECAs). From Mindfulness to Bookworms, there is something for everyone to enjoy.

ECAs provide children with valuable opportunities to explore new interests, develop confidence, and discover talents beyond the classroom. They also allow children to mix with peers from different year groups across the campus, helping to build friendships, independence, and a strong sense of belonging within our school community. We are excited to see our children embrace these new experiences and opportunities.

Parent Teacher Conferences

Next week we will also be holding our first Parent Teacher Conferences of the academic year.

These important conversations provide an opportunity for teachers and families to come together to discuss how children have settled into their new classes and share the next steps for learning and development. Strong partnerships between home and school are fundamental, and these meetings help ensure we are working together to support each child's individual journey.

We encourage parents to use this time to ask questions, share insights from home, and discuss any areas where additional support may be helpful. We greatly value these conversations and look forward to sharing with you all the wonderful learning your children have been doing.
