Stories We Carry: Voices, Identity and Belonging

As part of Black History Month 2026, Nord Anglia School Dubai is proud to share Stories We Carry: Voices, Identity and Belonging, a staff anthology that brings together personal reflections on culture, heritage, language and identity.
This collection highlights the diverse experiences, perspectives and journeys that enrich our school community. Through honest storytelling, staff members explore the people, places and traditions that have shaped their sense of self and belonging.
Celebrating the Power of Personal Stories
Every story within the anthology offers a unique perspective on navigating identity in an increasingly interconnected world. Contributors reflect on family histories, multicultural upbringings, language, migration, community and the everyday experiences that influence how we see ourselves and others.
By sharing these reflections, the anthology creates opportunities for greater understanding, empathy and connection across our school community.
A Reflection of Our Global Community
At Nord Anglia School Dubai, we recognise that diversity is one of our greatest strengths. The stories in this anthology demonstrate the richness of experiences that exist within our staff body and celebrate the many ways that culture and identity shape our lives.
Stories We Carry: Voices, Identity and Belonging is both a celebration of individual experiences and a reminder of the value of listening to and learning from one another.
