What are the keys to happiness?

Key to happiness - Key to happiness

According to a long-term study by Harvard University, it is the quality of our social relationships that makes us happy. All it takes is two to five friends but real friends: those who ring you for no particular reason, who know you well, who celebrate your successes and who tell you the truth, even if it’s not what we want to hear.

Personally, I would add a few other keys to happiness: knowing one’s true identity and achieving self-fulfilment. But also curiosity and the ability to learn. The optimist is no more right than the pessimist, but they are probably a little happier.

Ultimately, contributing to the happiness of others is a key to personal happiness. As is overcoming obstacles and seeing one’s efforts rewarded.

The school strives to nurture and cultivate all these qualities in our young people. Bearing in mind that loving is not the same as simply trying to please.
